Healthcare with the monthly premium paid by the company for the person and their family, dental, vision. 401k offered dependent care FSA/HSA etc We are seeking an experienced, meticulous, and discreet full-time Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming private family in Somerset County, New Jersey. The family has four children, two dogs, and a cat, and the home is active and lived-in. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes genuine pride and ownership in the cleanliness, organization, presentation, and day-to-day readiness of a private residence. We are looking for someone who naturally notices what needs attention and takes care of it without waiting to be asked. In addition to maintaining the family's primary residence, this individual will manage one additional full-time household employee and coordinate and oversee third-party cleaning teams that service other buildings on the property. The ideal candidate will be comfortable both performing hands-on household work and providing direction, maintaining standards, and inspecting the work of others. The successful candidate will work closely with the family's Estate Manager/Family Concierge and other household and property staff. Key Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness, organization, presentation, and overall readiness of the family's primary residence to a consistently high standard. Perform hands-on daily housekeeping, household resets, deep cleaning, and seasonal cleaning as needed. Manage one additional full-time household employee, including establishing priorities, assigning responsibilities, providing direction, and ensuring work is completed to household standards. Coordinate and oversee third-party cleaning teams servicing additional buildings on the property, including scheduling priorities, communicating expectations, inspecting completed work, and addressing deficiencies. Manage family laundry, fine linens, ironing, steaming, dry cleaning, and wardrobe-related household care. Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, guest spaces, children's areas, and household storage areas. Manage household groceries, family staples, pantry and refrigerator organization, household supplies, and routine shopping. Provide light food preparation and maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen. Manage table linens and ensure they are properly cleaned, pressed, organized, and ready for use. Set tables for everyday family meals, dinners, holidays, and special occasions, including appropriate china, silver, glassware, linens, and serving pieces. Assist with dinner service, guests, entertaining, and household events as needed. Prepare and reset guest rooms and common areas before and after visitors. Maintain china, silver, glassware, serving pieces, and other entertaining inventory. Properly care for fine finishes, artwork, antiques, marble, silver, delicate fabrics, and specialty household items. Maintain exceptional privacy and confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Prior professional housekeeping experience within a high-end private residence or estate. Experience supervising or leading other household staff strongly preferred. Comfortable directing and quality-checking third-party cleaning teams while remaining hands-on in the residence. Strong knowledge of proper care for fine furnishings, linens, finishes, china, silver, glassware, and specialty materials.
